reasons to surround yourself with positive people

Having positive people in your life is luck! A week ago, something amazing happened to me. Of course, I didn’t get a lottery ticket or something or I’m going on a dream vacation…yet… but I was talking to a friend of mine when this thought struck me and I felt a need to write and share my feelings about it with you all.

I’m, basically, a huge introvert and shy most of the time. I avoid people like a plague unless they approach me. this is the main reason I never had a lot of friends in my life. and for the most part, I’m ok with it.

Why?

Because I believe in the fact that quality matters over quantity. And I’m practically a very goal-centered person. I have certain goals in my life I want to accomplish and honestly, it’s hard to stay focused when you are surrounded with people, who are just there and won’t necessarily support you in those goals, or share a similar vision as you.

So, it’s obviously logical to surround yourself with people who support you and share the same vision as you, but that kind of person isn’t easy to come by. It’s a long process and you have to find them, you know, scoop them out amongst all the others.

Basically, why I wrote all this is to tell you guys about how lucky I happened to be to befriend a person who is just as goal-driven as I’m and who is there to guide you when you need it. when I was talking to her, I kind of was sharing with her my hectic routines and life situations and how proficiently she was guiding me towards the positive aspects of every situation.

She had been through a lot in her life and from that, she started learning how to stand in her power. This is a very similar experience I can relate to.

I’m so lucky to have her not just because we share similar experiences and connect with each other well. rather, the positivity she shows every single time has an impact on me as well.

This friendship has seriously led me to a point where I am so optimistic about life, that I’m completely able to change my attitude and become a positive person myself. This brings me to 7 reasons why should too surround yourself with positive people in your life.

Happiness Is Contagious

One of the finest and the best way to stay happy is to find people who are happy and know how to nurture and create their own happiness. no one stays happy forever, but the best people are those who know how to struggle with their situations and find happiness within their sadness.

When you surround yourself with this kind of people you’ll find yourself seeing the world differently and from a good perspective.

Spend time with such people and have fun with them. We all know life can be hard, sometimes harsh. We all have struggles, but someone who can put a smile on your face during those horrific times can actually be someone you can count on.

So, don’t waste your energy complaining, spend time with positive people who are willing to see good in things. If you don’t find such people then spend some quality time with yourself. It’s worth it, believe me!

You Become Confident

I honestly feel like if we surround ourselves with positive and supportive people, we will be able to see a huge difference in our confidence level as well. There is an increase in confidence levels when you surround yourself with people who are willing to do anything in this world buy conquering their fears.

This is possible!

All we need to do is to get over our fears and when we have people who are supporting and encouraging us, we can conquer the world.

I know there are people who get this kind of support in their lives, but I also know people who do not have this support. For those who have, I can literally tell you how amazing life they live fearlessly because they have an increase in their confidence.

They are constantly receiving support, encouragement, and endless positive feedback. These are the type of people we need to surround ourselves with.

You Stay Focused On Your Goals

Now, as I mentioned earlier, it is so easy to lose sight of the things that really matter to us when we surround ourselves with negative people in our lives.

However, when we have positive people and their positivity around us, our life goals become so much meaningful and realistic. This is why we need goal-oriented people in our lives so we are more likely to stay focus on our goals and actually accomplish them.

Here, you might be wondering it’s better to go through life serving as our own ride or die. Trust me I had been one of those people and the only thing I felt was being lonely and tired to lift that burden all alone.

There are times when you need others in your life who are willing to be your ride or die. There’s nothing wrong with that. When you let your guard and let positive people enter your safe zone, you are more likely to be peaceful, happy and have a better outlook on life.

It Fosters Growth

When you have positive energy and vibes around you, trust me, you grow. This positive energy builds your self-esteem and well-being. The more renewed energy from these vibes the more productive you become in life.

Those who don’t waste their time complaining and nagging around because their problems are more productive and more focused on positivity. They know better tweaks and strategies to cope up with their surroundings. this is what you need in your life.

These type of people who are greater good can help you uplift your spirits and motivate you to take on life in a new and improved direction.

You Get Rid Of Negativity

All the bad experiences in your life can have a serious impact on you. Be it from your relationships, work or your social life can harm your overall well-being.

No one wants to stay around a person who is always complaining, nagging and putting others down. being frustrated will do no good to you and will eventually eat you up alive.

You can quickly get rid of all this negativity by making decisions to no longer accept it into your life. Surround yourself with people who can guide you to come out of your negative emotions and help you in making better decisions in your life.

Helps To Move Forward

Continuation to me my previous point, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and negative sometimes but never enter into a slump by dwelling on the past experiences and emotions that serve no purpose in the future.

By surrounding yourself with positive people, you can cope up with those past experiences and learn to move forward in life. You will eventually learn to alter your thought patterns to a sense of motivation, energy, and excitement for what’s going to come.

You Find Inspiration

This is probably the biggest reason why you should surround yourself with positive people. When I used to think about my own problems, past experiences, my own interests, I drew my inspirations from events that took place in my life.

My goals and targets were at the mercy of my own thoughts. When I decided to change this and started having people who are supportive and share similar life goals like me, I started drawing inspiration from them.

This opened my eyes to a different perspective of life, I never thought I would ever experience if I would have shut down myself or remained in the company of negative people.

When you have such people, you expand your knowledge and think outside the box. You get a better understanding of the world by using others as an inspiration.

We Become Those We Stay Close With

This isn’t something new, we have probably listened to this old saying for centuries now. We become a lot like those we spend time with, you mirror their goals and ambitions, their attitudes and coping strategies and so on.

If you surround yourself with happy and healthy people, you’ll have a positive outlook on life and you can’t help but feel influenced by their energy to engage and share value in leading a healthy lifestyle.

Look around your inner circle of friends and the people you surround yourself with. Are they who you would like to become? Do you admire and respect them? Is this the life you want to live in? If not, perhaps it’s time you should consider why you don’t want and open your circle to new inspirations.

It’s worth spending time to take a look at your surroundings and allow positive people to enter your circle and negative to leave. Take a look around, do you seem to be drawn to happy people? Why or Why not?
